A few weekends ago Jazz and her classmates from her English class came over to complete a project about a country they created which included a map, imports/exports, laws, the whole bit. It was interesting to hear 15 year old boys/girls come up with mutual laws. :) I was impressed; especially how they seemed to come up with solutions when they disagreed. This group went all out...didn't help that they were at our house with a world of resources due to my hoarding from teaching. :) They did a fantastic job! The name of their country was a combination of all their names.
And this past weekend we headed out to the lake for another camping trip. My brother in law and nephew met us up there too. On Sat all the boys (except Gideon) headed out to explore ghost towns in the area. They saw a lot of cool stuff like abandoned ranches, old graves, wild burros, and interesting mud cliffs.
As for us girls and Gideon we ventured out to the dam, the lake, a short drive and hung out at the trailer. We played the game Five Times Fast and got to laughing that made us cry! :) Check out the one we just couldn't get--maybe you can. We all tried to limbo under a cable on the way to the lake--no success. And of course, skipping rocks!

This is funny because Jazz thought she'd lay down to be interesting and Gideon thought alright--let's do it!
