Many are the plans in a person's heart,
but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

Uh-Hem!

Dear Self,
You thought of another way to keep yourself inspired to write this blog...memories? Check! Way to keep track of those clever ideas you've tried and later cannot seem to remember? Check! I don't need to remind you but you are 3 of the 6 children your parents had who happened to get the short gene and yes you ahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifre the smallest, hence the nickname "runt" given by your sweet brothers :O...soooo this means altering your jeans! You found this tutorial here at KozyKitty! Here is your handy dandy work!
Thoughtfully Yours,
Yourself

Step One: Pull on those too long jeans, fold under and sew along hem line.

Step Two: Fold wrong side back under so only right side is visible.

Step Three: Sew along the hem line on the right side.

Step Four: Pull back on those jeans, along with your favorite kicks and wha-la! NO more cutting jeans with some generic looking hem or having to take it to get it altered.

Whistle While You Work or Play

Little Man is darn-tootin' talented we believe. :) He has almost mastered his whistling over the last month by puckering his lips and breathing in and out. Funny thing is he taught himself...and is mostly done when reading one of his books. It is short but sweet as I caught him only for a moment.

I know what 14 month old can whistle? Almost unbelievable but it is for real! Not a doctored clip, I promise--it almost seems unreal when I watch it! I am sure it will be fleeting as the wind but it is so darn sweet! Just today as I was sewing and heard the faint whistle and turned to ask the girls if it was them and nope--Gideon. Then later in the buggie at the store he just broke out in a little whistle. Funny thing!

July So Far...

Alrighty! The only promise I make about this blog is that you are bound to find a post at least once a month. :) Of course I have time; blogging just isn't my niche. (Rachel you put it perfectly my friend. :)
So here we are camping again...so beautiful!
Day One: Just hanging around the camp/lake...finishing with a game of Life.

Day Two: Some tourist spots, Bedrock City...too many photos to post...great day!

Day Three: Riordan State Park, Buffalo Park and wrapping it up with an evening read and smores over the gas grill--fire restrictions so NO campfires :( ...too many photos to post, again.

And some big sister, little brother time at the park while Mama and Daddy worked out front.

A Little Fun

Well my Mama has come and gone! She helps so much in the area of creativity! After she left the girls and I went back to our "routine". Jer came home before we were expecting him the other day and there was a dance party going on. :) He asks, "is this what you all do all day?" Yep, although the dancing is intermittent; between reading books, crafts and the occasional tv show...our favs are Matlock and Let's Make a Deal; I know old folk shows. Oh well! So here is a clip of Little Man dancing--love that christian music has evolved to a variety of genres; especially with teens and the influences all around them! And the photos were of our quick craft. I cannot believe summer is half way over! :(
