Many are the plans in a person's heart,
but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

Christmas Eve...

Merry Christmas Eve! I absolutely love this time of year! As we get ready to read from Luke, I can't help but think what it must have been like for Mary to give birth in a stable to Jesus...but I suppose that aspect makes it so special. Jesus didn't come to this earth as a blazing star but a humble servant. A man who loved each of us beyond any love we could possibly fathom!
Well besides my insight on this treasured time of year, I thought I'd share a lil bit of our day with you! The girls are awaiting a special arrival, hence the carrots and oats. And Jer was working away in the kitchen...I guess Christmas cheer is in all of us--Jer's shakin' his money maker! Merry Christmas to all! We love you!

Vroom! Vroom!

This past weekend we went riding so Jer could test his gun. It was so cold! I know to most 50 degrees and sunny is nothing, but add in the low humidity and wind...brrr! The girls and I opted for the hot chocolate and the entertainment that came from watching Jer fire off his rounds. Mina was especially happy with her driving abilities.

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

This weekend we put up our beautiful Christmas tree! I think Jer had enough of us singing Christmas songs with or without the music. We did, however, enjoy hanging ornaments and reminiscing of Christmas past. It truly is amazing how time just slips through your fingers like sand...it seems like yesterday we had two little girls with no front teeth! Now look at them, lovely young ladies!

Our 1st Silver Medal!

Mina grasped the 2nd place girls cross country medal with a time of 16:33 for 2.18 miles! It was very exciting, she actually shaved off 2 minutes and 9 seconds from her previous time! She has one more meet in December...I think she has a chance to take 1st place, as the girl ahead of her came in with a time of just over 16:00. She is very proud of her time!

EEK!

Hope you enjoy the halloween pictures of the girls! They came up with these costumes on their own--Mina is a Punk Troll and Joce a Bat Queen!
