Many are the plans in a person's heart,
but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

Painting!

Well after a drive to Hobby Lobby only to discover it isn't open on Sundays :(, the girls, Little Man and I stopped in at Michael's. We picked up a few small things including a set of wooden snakes to paint. After a quick lunch, Jazz was ready to take on painting with Gideon--she is sooo brave. Here is the result.

Family Fun

This past week and into next week my mama is visiting--yay! She is so creative; not to mention a super sewer. Well, I am not a window blind fan but I didn't know exactly what I wanted until I saw a photo recently in a magazine...shears; natural light and it opens up spaces. So this is what I did on the stairs. :) And the girls chose some fabric for their room; everything turned out great!!! Although I didn't sew a lick, I learned a lot about my sewing machine and techniques for easy sewing!

Then today we had my brother and his family, sister and her family except her hubby was working:( and my aunt and her granddaughter, my cousin. :) We had a fun time visiting! So many children and to think that is only half of my siblings! I love my family!!!

Dad's Day Preview

As you know we love to create around my house!!! I am always looking for SUPER fabulous, original and cheap ideas! Last year for Dad's day we created a retro soda bottle candy kit (see last year's post) that Daddy enjoyed...he likes his snacks! They are great treats for him to cart around in his work van. So this year was no different...I found this super hero kit, printed, chose snacks the hubby enjoys, bagged, tagged and wha-la! We added the super hero touch with Jer's photo--the girls and I were cracking up! Oh and we added some magnet photo frames with D A D spelled out to attach inside his van! Why the T? It is for Turbo...he is into his turbo diesels and always looking to upgrade! We are so happy to have such an SUPER HERO as a Dad and husband!

Camping!

Aaaahhh I love camping so much more without the tent!!! Our investment, not in the monetary sense, but in the FUN sense is definitely awesome! The trailer was so fun...cold nights/mornings, no biggie we cranked up the heater. Hungry? Open up the fridge instead of the cooler. Gotta pee? We have what you need. Everyone had an amazing time.

We thought we'd miss driving around our little ranger mobile since we cannot haul it and the trailer but it was not missed. We were able to use our two feet to go walking around the trail by the lake and had a blast...Little Man was all tuckered out!

Joce thought this smiley face on her water bottle was unbelievable...one in a million. :)

The lake.

Hanging with the cousins.

First Birthday!

Little Man's first birthday came and went...he is growing so much! Everything is clicking in his little head but he can't get the words out.
Things he does:
*Goes to cleaning cabinet when he wants to clean. :)
*Picks tomatoes off the vines in garden and loves to eat them...with help from mom. Would you believe he knows the difference now of picking the red over the green...this took a few weeks.
*Points to what he wants...Hungry? Points to cabinet or fridge. Thirsty? Points to faucet or sippy cup.
*Knows "hot"...picked up a rock in garden that had been toasting in the sun...started whimpering, dropped and waved his hand--this means hot.
*Monkey slaps...ok I know we shouldn't laugh at any form of hitting but if you've seen Night at the Museum you'll recall the monkey slapping the guy. Well, Jazz makes this face to him and when she does...monkey slap. No face, no monkey slap.
*Knows how to push the button to go on the mini quad he got from Great Aunt Sharon for his birthday.
*Loves to dance, singing (us or the radio)
*Catches a soft ball the size of a soccer ball
*Kicks
*Waves goodbye to daddy and girls when leaving and runs to them when arriving home
*Loves to read books, draw with help
*Tries to jump and run...feet don't leave the ground and the run looks like an out of control walk
*Knows what objects are used for...comb to comb hair, phone to talk, remote to change channels, keys for doors
*Almost can take off diaper when only thing on...loves to run around naked--FREEDOM!
*Still loves to cuddle and nurse
