Wet and Wild and Eleanor Jane

We have been busy little bees around here even if the temperature is in the 110+ degrees. My niece spent the night this past week and the girls cooled off with snowcones and messing around with water in the backyard. Joce thought she'd take a laid back approach but she couldn't resist the fun.
My apologies for the picture layout...they were set to view up right but there is some glitch.
Gideon enjoys his baths soooo much! He is moving into a little more of a routine and he knows the sounds of running water in the kitchen is meant for him.
Jer has been on call this week so he's been out the last two evenings which gives us time to think up crazy things...we go stir crazy without him! So we decided to see how adorable Gideon would have been if he'd been born a girl--Eleanor Jane. Yeah we like the boy look far better!!! The hair is a bit too much although Mina's dark curls with his blue eyes is a nice look. :) My apologies now my little man Gideon...with two older sisters you are bound to go through more. I should know with James as my little baby brother; sorry Jimbo. :)

Happy Father's Day!

Our little box of Father's Day goodies we created...as seen on a fun craft blog--the idea room. Our Father's Day was nice and relaxing. We watched Toy Story 1 and 2 and Dad bbq hamburgers on his new grill:)

Wow! A month has passed?

Here we are already a month after Gideon's birth and my oh my has he grown! His take home outfit from the hospital that was originally down to his ankles and left him swimming inside it is now almost too small lenghtwise and widthwise.
We are definitely enjoying our little man! He is cooing and "talking" more and more. He is getting stronger and stronger in his neck and loves to be belly down on his boppy and kick his feet--he almost teeters over the top.
The girls are enjoying summer...Mina had her best friend over yesterday and it was quite fun! Today we will be making Jeremiah's father's day gift...too cute, atleast I hope it turns out too cute:) Will post pics later!

Settling In

It is such a joy to settle in to our routine after all the flurry of Gideon's birth! Gideon grows more and more with each passing day, as well as, becoming less of a newborn...gone are the long days of napping by this little man. He is becoming more active--awake for an hour here and there, enjoying tummy time, chillin' in the boppy and smiling and cooing with the voices of our family. It is another summer but with the added excitement of our little man! Today we took our weekly trip to the library to check out some good reads...Gideon will learn so much from his wonderful sisters! It is hot, hot, hot! The girls and I plan to start some early morning walking...well Joce and I walking with our little man and Mina getting some practice run time in for cross country in the fall. 85 degrees at 7:30 in the morning beats the over 100 degree mark we hold for the remainder of the day---eek! Otter Pops have been a hit at our home. Speaking of Otter Pops, I think its time for one or two.
