Just Stuff
Well campaigning is over for the week and the results are....we have to wait for Monday! On Friday we headed over to the school to see Joce's presidency speech; she did fabulous. Papa Tom tagged along and in his opinion he almost got "choked up". Not by the words so much but her confidence and composure was very impressive in front of about 300 middle schoolers. :) We made Gideon a puffy paint shirt to show his support :) on the front it said "I love Jocelyn" and the back "Baby Approved...Jocelyn for President". It is hard to make out in the photo.

In other news...Jazz is hard at work, as is Jocelyn and by the photos Little Man with schoolwork. Gideon loves to try everything he sees everyone else do; especially the girls! He probably would even run at Jazz's cross country practice except he probably couldn't hang with the 4 miles or more she runs everyday!

And finally...we made another change in Jazz's room. Yes, we just updated the curtains but I knew it wasn't in her heart she enjoyed them...she just thought she needed to choose something since everyone else was getting curtains. So after seeing my super crafty friend Rachel make a fabulous valance, I thought alright I will try! Now normally I buy project fabric with my mom since she is always thinking fabric-wise...I bought what I thought I needed but DUH forgot about the direction the pattern would lay and so I had to add the black border but it work well...now I have a HAPPY teenager who loves to spend time chillin' in her bedroom-every girl needs a space. :) I even picked up a display board with the same pattern with ribbon on it to hang photos, quotes, reminders.

Growing Up!
Today was another great doctor's visit with Little Man. She is impressed with all his "athleticism". And cRaZy the boy grew 2 inches in the last 3 months...downside, only gained a pound. But not a concern since it follows his growth curve BUT a little extra weight wouldn't hurt. :) Soooooo....I've been building up to this point for the last 3 months; its time to move onto milk 100%. A little sad thinking about my baby not being a baby so much...and maybe a little sadder with him being my last I guess. But it is for the BEST so wish me the BEST over the next few days...not looking forward to engorgement--blah and Little Man crying when I tell him that "nur-nur is all gone". :( But thankfully by the end of the week things will be looking up on the milk front. :)

Mischief
The past week has been busy for us! Joce is running for president at school...so we've been making posters and other trinkets to hand out. Little Man has been quite the helper! Everything we do, he does. When we finish with glue, he tries it on paper. (closed of course) We finish with markers, he tries them. We use yarn to create things, he uses the yarn. Well at one point he had quite the collection in his arms. After he dozes off into bed, we hear Jeremiah calling us girls. We come and discover this...
Thank the Lord he didn't flush it! Funny thing is the toilet and doors are always closed...but this was a good reminder never to get to busy to forget to close things up not for Little Man. :)
Here is a glimpse of work so far! Go Jocelyn!
In other news...we've just been having a good time around here. The hoola hoop is the newest craze! We've tried walking with it, jumping in to take over the other person's hoola-hooping, neck hoola, leg hoola, arm hoola, how long can we hoola...just having a good time! And who knew? It is the best core workout around! Oh and Little Man is the funniest boy lately...if we laugh he starts fake laughing and smiles, smiles, smiles!

Goodbye Summer
Goodbye tanks tops, sleeping in and staying up late!
It seems so odd to me that I am bidding a farewell to summer when it is still over 100 degrees and family/friends in other states are only entering the tail end of their summer. But goodbye it is as the girls get ready to head back to school. :( But Little Man and I will be heading to "school" too--babies and books will be beginning soon!
Freshman Registration Day! First day photos coming soon!
Jazz has been snapping photos like nobodies business...here are a few! :)
Eating a little beetle...yes Jazz discovered he had a itsy bitsy beetle in his mouth--GROSS!
Playing with the neighbor puppy :)
Clouds
Lil sis
And finally, I have wanted to frame my bathroom mirrors for a long time...and after getting some good advice/tutorial sites from my friend Nicole, I did one!
Molding
The Brawn
Miter cuts
The Brains with Brawn! :)
Before--boring, plain.
After! Now I have seen lots of photos of redo's with painted frames but I really like my cabinets--after all I picked them out! And I wasn't about to paint them just yet...we've only been here 4 years. So I stayed patient, knowing what I wanted just not finding it. Then bada bang bada boom at Lowes they had it priced right, colored right and lightweight. :) Perfect-God is so good; giving the desires of our heart! Now I just need to frame two more mirrors and 3 medicine cabinets but the saw is off limits when I am home alone Jer says--oh well!
