Many are the plans in a person's heart,
but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

Just a Swinging
Gideon reminds me a lot of his Nanan--Jasmine. He just has this natural athletic ability without any coaching. The other night after a walk with Papa we were sitting around the table and he moves the chair, grabs onto the table and starts swinging. Mama asked him to do it some more so I could capture it. :)

A Little Late Year End View of 2011
Well all I can really say was 2011 was a blessed year!!! We had so many great things happening throughout the year! It was nice that we had great company to end the year and peace and quiet to ring in the new. :)
Uncle James, my little brother (that never gets old despite him towering me by well over a foot) came for Christmas! We had just a great time doing NOTHING! My brother is so chill...no entertainment needed. He loves being an Uncle so he just chilled, played with our sister's children and ours. Gideon learned quite a few things from him...like monster truck mania! He loves to watch videos of Monster Trucks and he will line up his play cars and use one of them to jump the others--so funny! And the girls love just the time he hangs out with them...he is so good about making all the kids feel important! All the kids (mine and Sarah's) also played some ultimate frisbee/rugby at the park, night walks with Papa Tom...it was fun!
Christmas morning was fun too! Jazz enjoyed a new caboodles box from Santa, Joce a curling iron, and Gideon mini Tonka work trucks!
Finally, we rang in the new year with some camping at the lake. My friend Natalie "loves" my primitive ideas (to joke about them:) ) but Natalie we don't do primitive camping...I need a shower and shelter...love the trailer!
Uncle Trevor, Em and Ben joined us for this fun adventure!
And too end on a funny note...while we were down at the lake Jeremiah was teaching Jocelyn the art of skipping rocks. He is GOOD! He gets like 4-5 skips. So while Joce narrowly missed me on one previous occasion with the rock throw she didn't miss Dad in nailing him in the chin with her fist after releasing the rock...yes, she made it skip but it was pretty darn funny! She has the potential to be lethal in her rock skipping adventures so steer clear! :)
