Just another Saturday...

Here is another photo from my garden...one of my succulents. First time it bloomed in the two years I've had it.
We also had an action packed water fight...it started seemingly innocent with a few water balloon tosses but it turned into a full on water war with squirt guns and the hose a streamin'!
Shortly after we decided to take a drive through the backroads to a Dairy Queen...mmmmm. Unexpectantly, we encountered a brush fire. It was under control when we drove back through on our return trip. In addition, I was at the wheel on the way home and almost hit a GIANT labrador. Luckily I slowed, veered just ever so slightly and he slide and tilted his body back-whew! That would have been my first road kill. Needless to say we were all exhausted by the time we arrived home!

Another Family Visit

The weekend before last, Jer's mom was in Vegas for a little break from the daily grind. We met up at a half way point, Wikieup, AZ. Wow! It was an itty-bitty little town but had some kickin' BBQ at Eat at Joe's Barbeque. It was a very nice drive, as we took a back road most of the way and had the additional company of Uncle. We returned in time to have a marshmallow roast--mmmm.


The next day it was back to work but my awesome brother--Jimbo--A.K.A. Uncle, tilled up my old garden bed and design a new one for my melons. Now all we need is the rock...

Lastly, I thought I'd add a picture of some of my beautiful flowers bloomin' in the smaller garden where I keep my herbs and the bed next to it has my flowers...I think they will all be gone soon with our heat on its way. There is always next year!
