Spring Has Sprung

Spring is in the air!  It reminds me that I have too many outdoor projects to finish up before the heat kicks up to 100+!  Things have been fairly quiet around our place...just enjoying the days together.  For spring break we headed out for some camping at the lake and some canoeing...Papa met us and we had a fun time!  No photos yet...I had to take Jer's work camera since mine was low on battery and well today its at work with him. :)  Spring is in full bloom for sure.  Our cactus Uncle James gave us when we first moved in has bloomed the same time for the past 5 years and each year the blooms multiply.  Also about 4 weeks back a sweet dove was attempting to build a nest out front by my shelf...we decided to give her a little help and offered her a shoe box.  Well a few days later two little eggs, then two little chicks, and now to ready to leave birds.  Actually last night the wind really kicked up out here and when Jer was leaving for work the whole shelf had crashed to the concrete, nest and birds too.  We put them back in the nest and sure enough mama came back...it must be time for them to leave because later today they were out again, flopping and flapping with mama close by...they can fly up about 5 feet.  So we bid farewell but it was very neat to see with the girls and little man.  I thing they came to remind me of the verse...Matthew 6:26 'Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap
or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you
not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life.'  Nope, I cannot add anytime so why waste it with worry...God is so good!  Why just this past week our refinance wrapped up in record time...I had the nicest loan person, the nicest title person who even set up for a notary to come out to us...I cannot count all the blessings He has given--so good!

Happy 1st day of March!  I just wanted to share a little St. Patrick's craft Rachel and I did this past week for this lovely month of March.  It was not only easy but inexpensive.  We opted not to paint our blocks for the hat as I ended up not having any green paint on hand; I like the natural look.

And of course a snapshot of two of my lovies...jaja was at school
