A Beautiful Blessing

Gideon has arrived! We have truly been blessed with a wonderful baby boy!

It all began Tues., May 18th when we arrived for an induction around 9:00 pm. We actually didn't get started with the induction until 1:00 am. By the time 2:00 pm on Wed., May 19th rolled around still no baby, little dialation, and Gideon was not moving any further down. So next step...IV of pitocin. Not too bad...decided around 3:30 to get the epidural since it looked like it was going to take some time...well after two dips in Gideon's heartrate between 2:00 and 3:45--a whirl of people in my room to re-establish his rate...it was decided it was best to complete a c-section as Gideon wasn't cooperating :) with the induction. By 4:38 we had our little man in our world! Surprisingly I did not feel much worry through it all...my friend Rachel had texted me a verse on Tues...The Lord makes everything BEAUTIFUL in his time. I kept remembering reciting that in my mind and knew all would be beautiful!
The girls were simply thrilled to see there little brother...Gideon definitely isn't lacking in the love he receives. :) Here are some pictures to enjoy!
